Bolts (B7) B7 module Fundamentals: Bolted connections must remain tight under installation as well as operation conditions. Therefore, the pressure load and the gasket factors must be adjusted mutually. Based on the resulting minimum bolt forces, the bolts can be dimensioned.

The module B7 determines the minimum bolt forces for circular, rectangular or arbitrary bolted connections with internal or full-face gaskets. The design parameters for gaskets of AD-Merkbaltt B7, metal ring gaskets and asbestos free gaskets are attached. For metric bolts the thread root diameter is determined. . The gasket loads and the bolt loads are displayed. It is possible to enter gasket charcteristics manually. Additionally there is a link to the catalogue of several manufacturers on the internet.
