Design of Tubesheets according EN 13445-3 Kap. 13

Program features

The module package UHX is divided into three modules for U-tube, fixed and floating tubesheet heat exchangers acc. chapter 13 of EN 13445-3. The package comprises:

• Module EN13a U-tubesheets acc. EN13445-3 Kap. 13.4
• Module EN13b Fixed tubesheets acc. EN13445-3 Kap. 13.5
• Module EN13c Floating tubesheets acc. EN13445-3 Kap. 13.6
• The required calculation cases 1-7 for shell or tube side pressure and thermal expansion.
• Input of the configuration (a-f) for fixed tubesheets and (A-D) for floating tubesheets.
• Calculation of the operation and test cases.
• Detailed help file in Adobe-pdf format

After specification of all items, the stresses in the tubesheet are calculated and the strength conditions are tested. The configuration of the tubesheet can be selected according to the heat exchanger type. The final specifications for the calculation cases 1-7 and the second tubesheet of a floating tubesheet heat exchanger can automatically be connected and recalculated with the help of additional calculation chapters.
