Fundamentals:
Flanged joints can be calculated according to the valid pre-standard DIN V 2505 or the unpassed draft DIN 2505 (yellow print).
They differ especially in the characteristic gasket values taken into consideration. While the pre-standard is based on the deformations and the strain resistance, the draft requires the seating stress and the gasket factor.
With the help of the 25V module joint flanges can be designed according to the pre-standard DIN V 2505. The program determines the external forces and from them the flange moments for the installed and operating condition.
From the geometry the flange resistances are determined and the strength conditions are checked.
