Modules PMAX and Nzul

Do you know the limiting part of your pressure vessel?

Calculation of the maximum allowable test pressure (Pmax)
Calculation of number of allowable load cycles (Nzul)

For a fast evaluation of a pressure vessel it makes sense to know the maximum allowable working pressure and the maximum allowable test pressure of every part of the vessel. A listing of theses values in tabular form enables you to know about the reserves and to determine the limiting part of the vessel immediately. According to the latest standards you have to determine the component which limits the pressure under the given conditions.

The DIN EN 13445 allows only 500 load cycles without prove instead of 1000 cycles according to AD 2000 Merkblaetter.

>> This may easily result in a need to prove the cyclic stressing of a pressure vessel.

Program features:

The PMAX module calculates the maximum allowable pressure for all vessel parts in a project.

Pmax determines:

  • Maximum Allowable Working Pressure (MAWP)
  • Maximum Allowable Test Pressure
  • Fictive pressure PT for load cycle calculations acc. AD S1
  • Calculation of any definable conditions, e.g. extreme corrosion

The performed calculation is not just a simple pressure calculation. All boundary conditions for the vessel part are checked.

The required additional information for calculating the maximum allowable working pressure, test pressure and fictive pressure for AD S1 are implemented. You can also set the boundary conditions on your own for calculating for example water hammer or explosions.

The program proposes the according joint efficiency factors for the calculation of the number of maximum allowable load cycles. They can be adjusted at any time.

The number of allowable load cycles is determined by Nzul

Module PMAX incl Nzul: 600 EUR plus VAT

The PMAX module may be used supplementary to AD 2000 / TRD / WRC / 1591 and 25V.
