With the TRD 301 a very extensive set of rules is available for the design of cylinders under internal pressure.
A part of this set of rules describes cylinder shells, which are forke-like branched (Y-shaped pieces).
The Y-shaped pieces can be forged or welded constructions with theta a > 15o.
The module calculates the stress of a Y-shaped pipe branch according to TRD 301.
With the help of the attached material data library the stresses are compared with the allowable stress of the selected material.
