Calculation of pressure drop in pipe systems

Fundamentals

The calculation of the pressure drop of compressible and incompressible fluids is based on well-known hydraulic and thermodynamic principles. The friction factor is based on the experimental observations of Nikuradse which were put into equations by Colebrook.

The friction factors have been taken from the VDI Heat Atlas.

Program features

The module calculates the pressue drop for adiabatic flow of incompressible and compressible media.
