Design of shell-and-tube condensers for steamKOND module package Program features:The KOND program serves for the calculation of shell-and-tube condensers with desuperheating, condensation and subcooling zones. The condensation can either take place around the tubes or in the tubes. No subcooling of the condensate is calculated for horizontal condensers with shell-side condensation. |
|
The KOND program is based on the WTS program and needs that program for the calculation. Therefore, the operation of KOND is almost identical. The condensation is only possible with water. The condensers can be arranged horizontally or vertically.
WTS is a combination of modules from the LV ATLAS system used for the design, rating and simulation of shell-and-tube heat exchangers. The theory is based on the correlations found in the LV Heat Atlas, the HEDH (Heat Exchanger Design Handbook), and various research papers.

Module package WTS and KOND as extension. Company standards, TEMA standards as well as DIN standards can be implemented in the program
With the SPIE module in the KOND program the following features are available:
(latest version of WTS required)
